STANLEY, VA - A new website has been created for the Town of Stanley in partnership with Standout Arts LLC. The new site launched on January 17, 2022, at www.townofstanley.com.

Standout Arts is a website, graphic design and marketing firm based in Waynesboro, VA that serves clients nationwide. Standout Arts has been developing websites for municipalities, small businesses, and organizations since its inception in 2013. They have a team that has been designing and developing websites for more than 20 years. Standout Arts has also completed websites for other local municipalities, tourist attractions, businesses, and nonprofits including Town of Grottoes, Grand Caverns (Grottoes, VA), Town of Luray, Sunset Lodging & Property Management (Luray, VA), First Choice Home Health & Hospice (Harrisonburg, VA), The Village Inn (Harrisonburg, VA), The Wayne Theatre (Waynesboro, VA), Solutions Mechanical & Plumbing (Waynesboro, VA), Sarandi Manufacturing (Broadway, VA), among many others. Standout Arts is also currently developing a website for the Town of Luray.

This new website allows the Town of Stanley to share upcoming events as well as the sharing of urgent and emergency announcements and makes it quick and easy for staff to make updates and edits to the website in-house if anything arises. The Town of Stanley had a need for a new website after their previous site became outdated and the platform on which it was built no longer allowed them to make updates to the site. The new website also provides easier navigation for users with a switch towards a clean and organized look.

"We loved partnering with the Town of Stanley on their new website. Our team is local with many of us having grown up in Stanley. We know the area and truly call it 'home'", Sankar adds.

The Town of Stanley had worked with Standout Arts in the past on website-related projects as well as graphic design for event flyers and rack cards, and they received support for the website from a grant and assistance from Page County Economic Development & Tourism.

"The Town of Stanley wanted their new website to carry a similar look to their previous website. We worked with the Town to ensure consistency with colors and images, all while working to create a fully responsive website that is optimized for today's most common devices. We also wanted to incorporate the appearance of more robust and comprehensive content; so my team and I worked to create a new website that would provide the technical and functional aspects that helped the site align with today's best practices, without veering too far away from an overall look and style that the Town had already established with their previous website", says Sankar.

Sankar adds: "Custom websites allow for flexibility in the look and design. We believe that websites should match well-established branding and reflect the preferences of the site owner. This approach helped us to provide the Town of Stanley with a website that matched a look that they already had in mind, while also giving it a bit of a facelift at the same time."

Standout Arts plans to continue to assist the Town of Stanley with its website and will be taking updated photos and videos throughout the Stanley community in the spring of 2022.
